Hello, and thanks for visiting my company website! I’ve been
at this production thing for 18 years now, and I started right
about the time my second daughter was born. That’s when I
bought my first video camera. After I caught a car accident on
tape in front of my house, I took the footage down to the local
ABC station. I walked in the door, and fell in love! (Up to that
point, I had been a crane operator at an aluminum plant )

After a 6 month internship there, I worked for awhile until I
moved on to the local Cable TV company, shooting and editing
thier commercials as well as running the on-air playback of
programming. 5 years later, I moved on to Phar-Mor, where I
was in thier corporate communications dept., (PharMor Productions)
where we produced all the internal commercials, as well as local and
national outside clients. If you’ve ever seen a commercial for
"The Club" auto anti-theft device, you’ve seen my work. Also,
during this period, I trained under the local video production pioneer,
Salvatore Calderone.

Once Phar-Mor decided to close, I chose to make Gregoryfilms a reality. I had been producing wedding and event video productions on the weekends for years before this, so it felt natural to go at it full time. It was a wise decision, and I’ve loved every minute of it.

I’ve lived in youngstown all my life, and Graduated from Chaney H.S. in 1985. I received my film/video education in the real world, as well as Pittsburgh Filmmakers Institute where I recieved certification in 16mm and 35mm film. Other than video production,
my other intrests are my three children, of course.
My oldest is now in her 3rd year at YSU, and the
reason I bought the first camera back in 1988 is now
beginning her first year at YSU. I am also very
involved at my church, where I am the technical
director and drummer in the praise band. If you're
looking for a great place to be on Sunday morning,
with some awesome people and some very sincere,
relevant teaching, try

The latest and greatest news for me is my beautiful bride,
Danielle. We were married on February 18, 2007.
Now I really understand what it is like to be on BOTH
sides of the camera! She has become my partner in
every way, including the company.

Thanks for your time, and I hope we work together soon!

Tom Gregory.
